The Ilhéus das Cabras are the biggest islets of the Azores archipelago. These volcanic formations are the remains of a coastline cone of a surtseyano volcano, dismantled by marine erosion and movement of tectonic plates.
This boat tour will take you off the southeast coast of Terceira where you will have the chance to see some marine wildlife and gorgeous offshore views of the island. Once you reach the Ilhéus das Cabras islets, you'll learn about the geology, history, and species of the surrounding area from your guides. Then, you'll head over to the Ilhéus dos Fradinhos islets, about 3 miles from the Ilhéus das Cabras. The return trip will follow an inshore route to showcase the variety of the beautiful volcanic structures that form the cliffs of Terceira's shoreline.
