About the Experience
The trail of Misterios Negros (Dark Mysteries) starts near the Lagoa do Negro and the Grutas de Natal (Christmas Caves) on Terceira Island. On this hike, you will explore the “Dark Mysteries (dark lava rock formations) and enjoy several lagoons, including Lagoa dos Mistérios Negros, with lots of endemic vegetation along the trail. To end this walk, you can visit the Grutas de Natal, consisting of a lava tube about 700 meters long.
