Full day tour: Terceira Island Shore Excursion (Cruzeiro)

Special shore excursion for cruise ship visitors

If you are going to arrive at Terceira Island on a Cruise Ship, then this is the tour for you! This is a tour designed for the day that passengers have with us. The best of Terceira Island.

We left the port towards the city of Praia da Vitória, passed through the center and stopped at Miradouro do Facho, with a very beautiful view over the city.

We head towards the Serra do Cume Viewpoint, one of the best-known in the Azores, from where you have a spectacular view of the “patchwork”.

We then went down to the oldest community on the Island, Vila de São Sebastião to have the opportunity to see the oldest church on the Island as well as one of the admired “Empires”.

We head towards Angra do Heroísmo, along the south coast of the Island. We visited the city and Monte Brasil and stopped at the Pico das Cruzinhas Viewpoint. Magnificent view over the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.

By now we will be roughly halfway through our tour and so, of course, it is possible to stop somewhere to eat something and use the toilet. ?

We went up to the north of Terceira Island to visit the natural pools of Biscoitos and have the opportunity to see the wine-growing landscape of this location.
(Optional) It will be possible to visit the Algar do Carvão monument if it is on opening day. (tickets not included)

Return to the port of Praia da Vitória for boarding.
